Our commitment
Hometown Health Centers is committed to making our website and the care we provide accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We design, build, and maintain this site to conform with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we treat any accessibility shortcoming as a defect to fix — not as cosmetic.
Conformance status
This website conforms with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The conformance assessment was conducted by the development team using axe-core, Pa11y, Lighthouse, and manual screen-reader walkthroughs (NVDA on Firefox, VoiceOver on Safari) against every distinct page template.
In our health centers
- All Hometown locations are wheelchair accessible, with accessible parking, entrances, exam rooms, and restrooms.
- Sign-language interpretation and spoken-language interpretation are available at no cost. Please request when scheduling.
- Large-print materials, plain-language summaries, and other reasonable accommodations are available on request.
On this website
Pages are built with semantic HTML landmarks, a single H1 and a non-skipping heading hierarchy, sufficient color contrast (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and interactive boundaries), keyboard-operable controls with a visible focus indicator, and descriptive alt text on meaningful images.
Compatibility
The site has been verified to work with the following assistive-technology and browser combinations:
- NVDA 2024.x with Mozilla Firefox (Windows)
- VoiceOver with Safari (macOS and iOS)
- Recent versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, and Firefox on desktop and mobile
The site is not specifically tested against Internet Explorer or other browsers that are no longer supported by their vendors.
Report an accessibility issue
If something on this website doesn’t work for you, please tell us. Reports are tracked as defects and prioritized: critical issues that block access to a service are addressed within seven business days, and other issues are scheduled for the next site update.
