HHC Expands Access to COVID-19 Resources

Monday, March 7, 2022 -- Hometown Health Centers (HHC) is proud to partner with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on two programs to help in the fight against COVID-19. The programs are designed to help health center staff, patients and community members gain access to much needed resources in the battle against coronavirus.

 

Hometown applied for and was approved to participate in the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Health Center Expanding Access to COVID-19 Testing Supplies Program and the Health Center COVID-19 N95 Mask Program.

• Health Center Expanding Access to COVID-19 Testing Supplies Program: HHC will ensure that COVID-19 at-home test kits are made available to those in need. To date, HHC has received more than 1,400 test kits and is working diligently to make sure they get into the hands of staff, patients, and the local community members, at no cost. HHC is overseeing the distribution of COVID-19 test kits in accordance with HHS guidelines and will continue to make them available throughout the duration of this program.

• Health Center COVID-19 N95 Mask Program: HHC’s participation in this program has provided the health center with a consistent supply of N95 masks, which are being distributed to patients and staff to help prevent the spread of the virus.
