Hometown Health Sets Community HealthFest for Aug. 8
Tuesday, July 2, 2019 -- Hometown Health Centers (HHC), the only not-for-profit, federally qualified health center in Schenectady County, will host its annual HealthFest Thursday, Aug. 8 from noon to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of its Schenectady facility located at 1044 State Street, Schenectady.
The free community event, which will take place rain or shine and is open to the general public, features an array of family activities, including free food, free health screenings and health education booths, giveaways, kids’ activities, music and prizes.
“Since its founding in 1970, HHC has provided comprehensive primary medical, dental and behavioral health services to more than 60,000 patients each year at its Schenectady facility,” said Hometown Health Center CEO Joe Gambino. “HealthFest provides us with a wonderful opportunity to give back to the local community and thank them for their support.”
